Programs and Events
This annual 5-month program, powered by the Colorado Health Foundation, validates companies based on business and clinical rubrics as well as safety net alignment, sustainability, and alignment with health care needs in Colorado in order to identify the most impactful, sustainable and commercial-ready solutions. Companies participating in the program receive coaching, feedback and mentorship from industry experts and top leaders, key information needed to be successful in Colorado, pressing needs facing our providers and patients, guidance on aligning their product to relevant quality measures and reimbursable codes, and more.
The program concludes with finalist companies pitching their products live in front of a panel of healthcare executives from healthcare institutions across the state and an audience of hundreds to win a portion of the prize funding and the opportunity to pilot their product at one of the healthcare institutions.
Hosted annually in partnership with the Colorado Governor’s Office of eHealth Innovation, the Prime Health Innovation Summit is Colorado’s largest digital health innovation gathering. This year’s Summit will focus on contextualizing innovation as a means to advance health equity and affordability. Speakers include national leaders on social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion in health innovation, Colorado provider organizations sharing successes and challenges in innovation, and panels of consumers and advocates speaking on topics related to cost of care, behavioral health, rural health and access barriers. All events are offered virtually to improve accessibility and inclusion for rural communities.

Community Building
Prime Health strengthens Colorado’s health innovation ecosystem by building the skills, capabilities, and networks of safety net, public health and community-based organizations. We build bridges of connection and understanding across government, payer, academic, entrepreneurial, investor, safety net, community and public services stakeholders while actively seeking out underrepresented voices, fostering pathways of inclusion and collaboration, and encouraging partners to do the same.
Our monthly speaker series education and networking events are one example of how we leverage a statewide, national, and global network to continually identify and introduce new ideas, best practices, resources and partners impactful to Colorado.
Tailored Pilots
We support organizations in achieving their goals, engaging and training teams at all levels across the organization and designing programs that are thoughtful, informed, scalable, sustainable, patient-centered and engaged. Accelerating the adoption and implementation of new strategies, workflows and technologies for provider and community organizations is our specialty. Technical assistance is provided to all Challenge pilot hosts, as well as other provider organizations upon request. Our services can include tailored guidance and support in telehealth and virtual care policy and regulations, reimbursement and financial sustainability strategies, billing and coding, clinical workflows and protocols, patient consent forms, scheduling, technology vetting and procurement, and more.
Recent examples of contracted support include custom telehealth programs supporting practices, development of telemedicine-enable street medicine outreach, and virtual, integrated collaborative primary care and behavioral health models for special populations.
