2020 Prime Health Challenge Semifinalist Announcement

Prime Health is excited to announce the 2020 Prime Health Innovation Challenge Semifinalists. 50 companies from around the world applied to compete in one of the top ranked health innovation competitions in the country and win the chance to partner with a Colorado healthcare organization.
Powered by The Colorado Health Foundation, the five-month competition validates companies on a series of business, clinical, diversity and inclusivity, and social impact rubrics in order to identify the most relevant, sustainable, and market-ready solutions to improve healthcare and advance health innovation for Colorado underserved and marginalized populations.
In the past six years, Prime Health has awarded nearly $1 million in pilot funding, supported the development and implementation of more than 32 pilots, and led the community in vetting almost 300 different health technology solutions.
More than 115 judges are participating this year, representing a range of perspectives and expertise in Colorado healthcare, technology, community, and business. Ultimately, judges felt that the following 18 companies had the most potential to advance health equity and quality for Colorado underserved and marginalized populations in 2020:
For the next round of the Challenge, Semifinalists will undergo another set of selection and preparation steps: a questionnaire that takes a deeper dive into the solution’s viability, a speed networking event connecting Semifinalists and Judges so they can get to know each other better, training through the Prime Health Innovation Academy focused on health entrepreneurship in Colorado and in Medicaid and safety net environments, and mentorship, coaching, matchmaking and discovery exercises to find the best fit for their solution in our communities.
The program concludes on November 6th, 2020 with a live, virtual event where finalists pitch their solutions to a panel of healthcare stakeholders, and an audience of hundreds, to win a portion of $150,000 in prize funding and the opportunity to partner with a Colorado-based healthcare provider organization.
