Prime Health Announces 2021 Innovation Challenge Semifinalists
Health care innovation leader advances 17 companies in annual contest
Denver, Colo. — July 29, 2021 — Prime Health today announced 17 companies as semifinalists in its signature Innovation Challenge. Each year the Prime Health Innovation Challenge invites the most promising companies from around the world to demonstrate their potential to advance health innovation in Colorado and compete for a coveted paid pilot program with a Colorado healthcare organization, funded by the Colorado Health Foundation.
Colorado’s unique healthcare landscape makes it an ideal market for entrepreneurs to test their products in action and gain a better understanding of how to refine and improve their offerings. Meanwhile Prime Health’s unique position at the intersection of health and innovation in Colorado makes it the ideal hub to power the competition and forge meaningful connections between competitors, judges and health care organizations in Colorado. Working in partnership with The Colorado Health Foundation, Prime Health assembles a team of expert judges working in every facet of healthcare in Colorado to vet participating companies and determine a winner in the competitive annual event.

Prime Health and The Colorado Health Foundation congratulate the 2021 Prime Health Innovation Challenge semifinalists:
The semifinalists represent a select group of 17 companies to advance in the competition from a pool of 34 first round competitors. Before the challenge concludes and winners are named on November 18, the semifinalists will undergo another set of selection and preparation steps, including a questionnaire designed to dive deeper into each solution’s viability, a speed networking event and training through Prime Health’s Innovation Academy. Following these activities, finalists will be named in September and tasked with participating in the live pitch event before a panel of healthcare stakeholders and an audience of hundreds on November 18.
To date, Prime Health has awarded more than $1 million in pilot funding, supported the development of more than 45 pilots and led the community in vetting some 350 different health technology solutions.
