Prime Health Announces Winners in the 2022 Innovation Challenges in California & Colorado
DENVER, COLORADO (February 1, 2023) - Prime Health is excited to announce the 2022 Prime Health Innovation Challenge winners! Thirty-two companies from around the world applied to compete in one of the top-ranked health innovation competitions in the nation and win the chance to partner with a healthcare organization in Colorado or California and a portion of $300,000 in prize funding. The competition ended with a live pitch competition on Thursday, January 26, where the top finalists in Colorado and California presented their solutions to 28 provider organizations for bidding.
Powered by The Colorado Health Foundation and The California Health Care Foundation, the five-month competition vets and validates companies on a series of business, clinical, diversity and inclusivity, and social impact rubrics in order to identify the most relevant, sustainable, and market-ready solutions to improve healthcare and advance health innovation for underserved and marginalized populations in California and Colorado.
More than 110 judges participated in this year’s event, representing a range of perspectives and expertise in Colorado & California healthcare, technology, community, and business. Twenty-two companies advanced to the semi-finals in September, and ten companies advanced to the final round in October. Over 130 attendees virtually joined the live events on Thursday, January 26, to see the ten finalists present their solutions.
